NASI Releases Version 4.2 of Lawyer's Helper, Consultant's Helper, Professional's Helper, and Small Business Helper

Cincinnati, OH - February 7, 2000 - North American Software, Inc. (NASI) announced today the release of version 4.2 of Lawyer's Helper, Consultant's Helper, Professional's Helper, and Small Business Helper.

New features in the release include a business card  popup designed to offer the user a quick view of a contact's information from the scheduler or the Home screen. The release also includes a remote use  synchronization toolkit, enabling users to maintain separate databases on laptops or at home that can be synchronized with the main database when needed.  The synchronization toolkit also provides for systems that wish to maintain separate databases in multiple offices that need tobe synchronized periodically.

Version 4.2 also added a single-click SQL Server migration function in the Database manager. This functionality allows firms to  upgrade to SQL Server or start with SQL Server with a minimal amount of effort.

Some minor enhancements include custom alarm times,  straight address entry from the Contacts screen, a 1/10 minute time rounding option, and the ability to jump to a project/case from Home or Planner modules.

The release is accompanied by a new pricing structure  that includes a lease option as well the ability to purchase either the case/project management toolset, the billing toolset, or both.

The release also corrected several bugs and improved speed and performance. The upgrade is free to all currently licensed users of version 4.0 or 4.1.
